Gaffe was created in october 1982, and after having made some prototypes for AMR, and built-ups for various customers, has devoted himself to Dakar Rally and production of cars and trucks that race in this famous competition. The company has now more than 150 1/43rd scale kit references for enthousiasts, that can be found in some well known shops around the world. After 40 years, Philippe Le Prévost, the Gaffe “boss” decided to stop his activity. Even if it is still possible to get some models, the stock is not big, and the fact his white metal provider stopped too will not help !

The models featured on this site are not toys; these are hand crafted models, realised in small quantities (from 30 to 150 around) which use resin parts, white metal, photoetched components and are therefore not suitable for chidren under 14.
The logos and trade marks on these models are not publicity for these trade marks, but are reproduced to match the historic truth of the races where the real cars were involved.
